application | 6, 7-dihydro-5H-pyrrole [3,4-b] pyridine hydrochloride can be used as an organic synthesis intermediate and pharmaceutical intermediate, mainly used in laboratory research and development process and chemical and pharmaceutical production process. |
Preparation | Add 6-(2, 4-dimethoxybenzyl)-6, 7-dihydro-5H-pyrrolo [3,4-b] pyridine (34.9 mmol) in a dry flask under nitrogen. Trifluoroacetic acid (27 ml) and triethylsilane (6.0 ml) were added to the reaction mixture. Stir the reaction mixture. Heat the reaction mixture at 60°C for 5 hours. Vacuum removes volatiles to obtain viscous oil. Add HCl to the residue (4 M in dioxane, 40 ml), then add ethyl acetate (50 ml). The reaction mixture was vigorously stirred for about 1 hour at room temperature to provide precipitation. The solids are separated by filtration. The solids were washed with ethyl acetate (25ml). Vacuum drying of solids. |
